Second Life (My own character and experiences)

 My Second Life Experiences

Hello guys,

Today I will tell you about a game called Second Life. If you are a player, you will love SecondLife! (Actually, I don't like games and don't understand at all but still loved Secondlife and enjoyed it ^^)

What is Second Life?

Second Life is a social platform created not to be a game, but to create a 3-dimensional virtual world, users create everything in that world and transfer it to the platform, we can think of it as the 3D version of the internet. If you give your own island money and set it up, users somehow know about you and write your island's URL, what you will do on the island is completely up to you, you can put whatever you want with 3D modeling, you can open a paid night club and try to attract people or open a store and sell real products in-game sell clothes, etc.

In Secondlife, you can first start the game by creating an avatar for yourself. The gender, skin color, eye color, outfit, height, weight, etc. of the avatar it will create. It decides all its features. you can then change your avatar as you wish or even buy new avatars.

There are brand avatars and brand clothes just like in normal life.

The virtual world offers endless entertainment possibilities, live music, and many other fun things.

It allows you to connect with interesting people from all over the world, make new friends and chat. You can also improve your foreign language.

Of course, the game provides you with the advantage that you can use it well. It is also used in online education.

There are also museums, exhibitions, cinemas, theater performances, and funfairs.

You can find opportunities to have fun in the game, even enter the pool, go to the beaches, swim, and surf.

The Benefit of Second Life to Education

You can attend lectures and conferences in the virtual world

You can navigate in 3D environments.

You can communicate with other users by voice and text.

My Own Second Life Experiences:

As you can see, there are many different destination locations such as beaches you can go to, fantastic / adventure world, places to visit in the world. and the game teleports you to these places.

Voki-Speaking Characters for Education Hi everyone!  Hope you are all doing well. Today I wanna explain to you about Voki, which I find really useful for you, which has both an application and a website. Voki is a website where you can create speaking characters for education. So what’s this Voki? Voki is an application that allows you to create characters, make the characters speak and share your work the way you want. The characters you create with Voki have the ability to voice in many languages. Whatever you want to make your character say, you write in the text box there and the character voices it. Open&Distance Learning/ Developing Materials/Lumi Interactive Video

What is Lumi? First of all, I would love to give information about Lumi before introducing our activity. With Lumi you can create, edit and view interactive HTML elements (H5P packages) in your desktop environment. You can choose from over 40 content types (templates), which include interactive videos and all common quiz types such as fill-in-the-blanks, multiple choice questions. You don't need any programming knowledge to work with Lumi!   Lumi/Interactive Video We wanted to prepare an interactive activity with the song we chose for practicing conditionals. After listening to the lyrics, in order to check whether they understand what they are listening to, they have to choose the sentence they heard right after listening. It's appropriate for 6th graders and pre-intermediate learners. we chose 'If clause' as a grammar topic. https://app.lumi.education/content/642427aec618827fd86969ea
